  • Boston Herald - “1 Angry Black Man” Movie Review a stellar debut for our times! The vivacious and inspring (Daphne Danielle) tolerates no foolishness.

  • The Boston Globe - “1 Angry Black Man” Movie Review The teacher, Carla (Daphne Danielle), is righteous, caring, committed, and smart, and you sense she’s been guiding this particular group of students to articulate their thoughts amid debate for the better part of the semester. The works under review include Zora Neale Hurston’s “Their Eyes Were Watching God,” James Baldwin’s “The Fire Next Time,” and the “Pittsburgh Cycle” of playwright August Wilson; you come out of the movie wanting to head immediately to a library.

  • Santa Fe New Mexican - “1 Angry Black Man” Movie Their professor, Carla (Daphne Danielle), expertly balances a complicated pedagogical structure of students reading aloud and interpreting text with the freedom to let the conversation veer off course if something important seems to be developing.

*Josh: The Black Babe Ruth Theater Review - Josh’s wife Hattie is played by Daphne Danielle.  Her scene trying to find her husband at the bar through questioning the audience members elicited deserved end of scene applause.

*My Entertianment World Theater Review - Daphne Danielle steals the show with an outsized impression made with the least stage-time. Ms. Danielle’s “Hattie Looking for Josh” scene is hilarious and is alone worth the price of admission. Ms. Danielle is at her best when given the freedom and responsibility to fill the moment and fill the stage on her own.

*Front Row Center Theater Review - One of my favorite moments truly showcased how accomplished an actress Daphne Danielle is. She addresses the audience asking us if we have seen Josh Gibson. She brought it out of us in a spectacularly real way.

*New York Trend Theater Review - the delightful and amusing Daphne Danielle who performed as Hattie and brought levity to the play
